Stay with me
After the lockdown, I was promoted to class 8,
I only knew a few people. My friend Ava ,always used to sat beside a girl. A beautiful girl with coal black hair, shinning black eyes and with a positive aura. Her nickname was Vicky.
After our half yearly examinations were over, we always used to sit together. Two rows in middle were joined together and four people can sit together. So, we had a group of four. In our group there were no backbenchers or spoiled kids, but kids who always used to progress in their studies and I was one of them.
Our teachers were impressed by how disciplined we were and I think that it was right! We never got into a fight or behaved like a rascal. We always tried to be polite and calm, except one girl.
I was studying in the same school for four years, my friend had been studying here for three years and my other two friends had been studying here for 8 years.
Our one friend whom we called Aya, which was her nickname was a spoiled girl from top to bottom and from outside to inside. She was jealous of me because I never got a punishment or get caught in something wrong, while Aya was involved in every incident that took place. Our teachers used to take strict actions, but she never cared.
Me and my friends,Ava and Vicky drew closer and closer, more closer than we had ever expected! Our bond was unbreakable!
We always used to help each other, play with each other, study, talk, tease, laugh etc. Aya was always jealous of us being together everywhere. We always let her mean words and actions slip past, but it gradually became unbearable. She used to spread rumors about us .We were sick of her, we don't want to lose our unity .She always used to talk bad about us on our backs.
Since the end of the half yearly examinations, we were disturbed because Vicky told us that she might have a transfer after class 8.
The year passed away with us making so many sweet little memories. The session break after the final examination was going on, our results had been announced. But I was more concerned about Vicky ,I don't want her to leave. I had many friends since my childhood but she was the only one that was the closest to me in just around 4 to 5 months.
It was 10 A.M in the morning, my father was getting ready for office. Suddenly, the phone rang and my mom picked it up ,it was Vicky, I answered the call.
"I took the Transfer certificate and I will be going to Bangalore" She said.
She said politely and I had never heard someone speak to me so politely and carefully but, they were the meanest words I had ever heard in my life.
After that I was too scared to call her. She called me after 15 days .I was so happy that she did!We also added Ava.
"Thank you for being by my side for so long, those months passed out like a couple of seconds yet, the memories we had together were uncountable. You both were the best people I ever got in my life and I hope we will stay connected even without our presence. I will miss you all"
I was so happy!NO!I was sad! I was both.I was happy because I was 'special' to her as she was to me. I will miss her smile, her voice, her positivity, her eyes, her innocence, her shyness and many more. We didn't get time to be together for longer. But the time we were together, was enough. She was the one I was never scared to tell my feelings. She hold my every little secret as I hold hers. I know that we can stay connected by our phones, but the thing we want is each others presence, love and care. Even though I am happy, but I wish you could stay with us a little longer .
