The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a single rose set in a delicate vase at each table.
Then the knock came,
That sound,a testament to a Vision soon to unfold.
You walked in as from a dream,
Smiling that smile and my heart Melted like a butter soon to fry.


I saw the world in your eyes,
We chattered.
You said I looked nice,
I told you I had my castles built Around your waist.
Time passed fast,but all was right
When these two souls meet.

The sky donned a darker gab,
temperature dropped as in Alaska.
But in the heat of love,
Two lovers talking wordlessly,
My eyes hugged yours.
You smiles beckoned me on.
And Life was as perfect as it could Ever be.

I told you stories no one else Knows,
My heart laid bared at your feet.
And like the angel that you are,
You gave me the ultimate gift:
A kiss to stem the words filled With pain.
And for that brief second, I knew
The meaning of life.
