My Faith Vs My Beliefs
My faith vs my beliefs

So if you know me or follow me you know that I am a Christian. I go to church every week and I believe in God. So then how can I be a Christian and yet believe in a women's right to choose you may ask.

Well, here is my answer, I was raped at the young age of 13. I was a virgin, just in case the trolls out there were going to say something. I had my whole life ahead of me and because of something a man decided to do to me, I was now pregnant. I did not want to be a mother, especially to a rapist's child.

Back in the dinosaur days, they were protesting the abortion clinics and even bombing them. I crossed that picket line while people, Christian people no less spit on me and called me names like baby killer. But I did what I knew was the best thing to do with my body and yes, trolls my mother came with me and even paid for it. This was my body, my choice, and trust me it was the best decision I could have made under the circumstances.

What really gets me is how so many Christians go after people for this choice but do they help? Is there money for women who want them to keep these kids? Are there work programs in place to help them get a better education? Is there free daycare for these women? No, they just don't want you to have an abortion, yet they don't want to help after this baby is brought into the world.
Hell, they will even go as far as to call you a lowlife or a moocher if you ask for help.

Unfortunately, that is what the church looks like nowadays. Do as I say, not as I do. I will pass judgment as I sit on my throne looking down at you. This is not what Jesus wanted, he helped all, he took to the liars, the cheaters, and prostitutes to send out his word, not the church or preachers.

And by the way, if an embryo is a life then why aren't they shutting down infertile clinics? They are freezing embryos every day and how many of them survive? Look we can debate this all day but at the end of the day, it's my body, my choice. I can choose to tattoo the whole thing, I can pierce the whole thing, I can change my breasts or make my ass bigger and yet that's all okay. So if that's okay because it's my body then I can choose what I want to be able to do with it, if I get pregnant.

So today my friends, you can come at me if you want but unless you've been in my shoes, unless you've been raped or had a pregnancy that will harm your life, then stay in your lane. I want my daughters to have a choice whether they ever need to use it or not.
And unless the church or anti-abortionist are going to step up and help with this embryo, then they need to sit the hell down too!
Be part of the solution, not the problem…
Remember when you vote tomorrow this could be your daughter, your niece, or your cousin that won't be able to have a choice.
Be the change you want to see.
