(Mascara)

Dear Diary,

For each passing day, my smile is always plastered on my lips, smiling at the people around me.

I've been a source of happiness to my friends, classmates, and teachers because of the silly things I do.

But they never noticed how far I am from the person they knew. It's a mascara that I've been putting on for the past years.

A mascara that covers my face full of doubts, resentment, regrets, pain, and sadness.

Can I take it off already? I can't keep going. I'm tired. I want to sleep forever.
