DEAR DIARY
CHAPTER ONE
SNEAK A PEAK:
Dear diary,
The weather today is good, it looks so bright, I hope everything to be done today will be as bright as the day itself, Ha...Ha...
You may be wondering who the hell I am, well my name is Molly Johnson, yeah, Mo for short, I grew up in a family of four, mom, dad and my younger brother, it was a beautiful family and we all loved each other, until that all changed when my dad passed away, my mom was in so much pain that her heart could not bear it and soon she fell ill and soon she too left, leaving just matt and I alone and that diary is a brief story about my life.

‘Matt, wake up, you will be late for school’, I forcibly shook him
‘Gosh, can’t I miss school just for a day, I am not Einstein you know’, matt angrily replied
‘hmm, fine but just for today and get up then, that doesn't’t mean you won’t help out in the shop today,’
‘Well, at least I don’t have to go to school, fine by me, I can draw all day’ matt fired back.
Matt got up took his bath and then we set off for mama dure's shop (a local restaurant owner, who we work for to provide for our basic needs). We arrived on time and soon started work; while i got to sweeping, matt mopped……

Well, I know you may be a little confused so this is a flashback into my past……
I told you about how my parents passed away, well we are not the rich type but at least the typical average Nigerian, my dad had a mini supermarket, and my mom had two saloons under her as well as a gas plant, and I know what you are thinking if we had all that why work at a local restaurant, well, when my parents passed away my dad brother came in and took control over everything, he even went as far as telling my mom’s people that he wants to shelter our responsibility( matt and I), but it all took a surprising twist when on our way to his alleged house, he dropped us in the middle of nowhere at an orphanage, and left us there.
As at that time, I was 14, so I could read a little but I did not have an idea as to what was going on, as soon as he left, I took matt, and i started knocking on the gate, after knocking several times on the gate and there was no reply, we left, after walking for a while, we spotted a church and because it was late we just slept off on the wooden chair in the church…….
We woke up to prying eyes on us, some were whispering around, and that was when we saw mama dure, she walked up to me and asked me who I am and where I am from?, I couldn't’t reply her because I was so scared and it was as if she read my mind and she gently approached me took my hands and took us to her house and gave us a room and we work in her shop to help her and a way to thank her for helping us….
……………………………………………………
So here we are, doing our normal activities of today, customer’s coming from all side and before I realized, the shop was filled, orders coming from different direction, people leaving having to clear up for another customer to sit, you may think, it will be hectic for a teenager but I have done it a million time, that most time when I dream it’s like am back in the shop.
When the customers arent’t that much mama dure called us to the kitchen and gave us our breakfast which always consist of (eba...
