Where The **** Is My Wife (Part 4 of 6)
Detective Alec Green's Mystery Stories*

''Felix Aziz, the professional pickpocketer who retired to become a detective. What magic did the Detective Alec Green sprinkle on you for you to reach so high that fast?'' The man asked.

''There is something called trust and I trust that you will bring my wife and unborn child back to me in one piece.'' Felix said in anger.

''Trust! Hahaha... Look who is talking about trust. Where did my trust in you go Felix? I used to look up to you. The famous criminal who never got caught but little did I know, you had good luck with you all the time. Look, you became everyone's except my hero and you got a lovely young wife. Imagine, you're about to have your second child. What a luck!'' The man said.

He leaned back on his chair and started rocking it side to side. Felix just stood there watching the man dead in his eyes.

''I have a feeling that you kidnapping my wife and unborn child has nothing to do with the explosion at that fashion show.'' Felix angrily said.

''Of course not. No one is a fool like that idiotic man to just bomb up a fashion show for fun. Everyone knows that foolish man for a criminal was insane. He didn't even kidnap the famous fashion designer who was worth millions but then again, what can you do? A fashion designer will always have support that will help them to flush their money down the drain. Why touch that useless piece of trash when there are bigger diamond fishes floating in the air.'' The man said and then sniffed the air. ''Can you smell that?''

Felix then banged his hand against the desk and looked at the man in complete rag.

''Enough of your fun and games! Tell me where my wife and unborn child are. I want them here now!'' Felix demanded and then picked up the sack that fell from his hand.

''Oh don't be upset, Felix. Just know that your wife is now mine. It's just the unborn child I don't want.'' The man said, smiling at the furious Felix.

''Don't look at me like that. This is what you deserve for not bringing me my fifty thousand dollars. All you did was bring me a bloody headache. Don't feel that I like to see your stinking face.'' The man argued and then pointed upstairs before he continued talking.

''In fact, I don't want your wife anymore. You'll just pester me anyways. Your wife is upstairs hanging from the sealing. Don't worry she won't fall unless I want her too. I tied her arms with ropes that I had stuck on the sealing and her legs are tied to the gallery balustrade. So she can just dangle from a height like a peaceful hammock and I can watch her at the same time.

She would be only feeling the weight of her arms, back and legs because her back is facing downwards. So she can only watch the roof and the ropes that are holding her. If I shoot those ropes right now, your precious wife will fall from that height and all the way downstairs. That is a perfect way to end a pregnant woman's life, isn't it.'' The man said and then laughed.

Felix looked up in disbelief. His fear for his wife's life made him more upset. He then looked at the man and charged at him.

''How dare you!!!'' Felix yelled, swinging the sack at him.

The man raised his hand to shield himself but the sack filled with broken glass pieces ripped through his hand. The man bawled in pain and disbelief to see his hand in such a terrible state. Felix then swinged the bag once more, this time across his face. Ripping pieces of flesh off the man's face as well and knocking the man to the ground. The man should not get up this time.

Felix cuffed the man continuously in the stomach and face. Someone grabbed Felix from under his arm. Lifting him off the man and making him stand to his feet. Felix was about to punch the man who held him but when he turned to do so, he saw it was Alec.

''Okay chill, it's me Alec. The man is already knocked out. We have to focus on saving your wife.'' Alec said.

Pointing at the sealing in the direction where Adira was hanging from. Felix looked up to see his Adira still hanging from the room and Anjali was already there struggling to save her.

''A ladder. Someone had to put her up there by using a ladder. I can't see them do it any other way.'' Felix said and.

Felix quickly searched for a ladder and Alec joined in the search.

''I found it and it's huge. I need help!''Alec shouted.

Felix quickly followed the sound of Alec's voice and helped him fix the ladder under Adira.

Alec dug in his pocket and pulled out his pocket knife. He then handed the knife to Felix. Felix grabbed it and placed it between his lips before climbing up the ladder. When Anjali saw this, she got herself ready to help Felix if needed.

As soon as Felix reached the top of the ladder, he took the pocket knife from his mouth and started chopping the rope from above Adira's hand. When the rope got cut, Felix let go of the knife and caught Adira in his arms. Adira was unconscious when he caught her. Felix waited for Anjali to untie the rope from the indoor gallery balustrade. Once Adira was freed, Felix quickly took her down the ladder. He then took off his jacket and spread it on the floor before gently resting Adira on it.

Anjali ran to fetch a glass of water and brought it back for Felix. Felix took it and quickly sprinkled some water on Adira's face several times until she started to move. On seeing this, Felix quickly rested down the glass on the floor.

''Adira....wake up honey. You're safe now. I'm here.'' Felix said gently, shaking her shoulder.

As soon as Adira opened her eyes she smiled at Felix. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain and started screaming her life out constantly. Felix got frightened seeing her in so much pain that he wanted to cry.

''Adira...Adira what's wrong? Please tell me what's wrong?'' Felix said while panicking.

''I think Adira is in labor pain. I'll call the ambulance quick.'' Anjali said.

She quickly pulled out her phone and went to call the ambulance as well as the police. While Alec tries to calm Felix down as he holds him tightly. Felix struggles to free himself from Alec's grip to go near Adira. It was the first time Alec saw Felix breakdown. Never in his life he would imagine this day.
