The girl of my dreams||Chapter One

Like every morning I awake to my harsh sounding alarm. Each morning, when it goes off I have to stand up. If only I could sleep just a bit more. But no. It's time to get up. It's only been like 2 days since Mikayla and myself broke up. I never thought, a girl like her would have such a huge impact on my life. But nevertheless.

I get up, head towards the kitchen. Like every morning's routine. I open up the fridge , to take out the milk. Thereafter I head towards the cupboard so I can take out the cereal. As I pour the milk into the bowl, my mother awakes too.

"You up early.." She said from within her room.

I could tell that my mother was still pretty much tired as her voice said it all. Ayy, Where's my manners. I didn't even introduce myself.

Well I'm kyle. I'm a 19 year old, matric learner. I come from, and still live in Wynberg. You will find out more information about me as we continue. So where was I?

"Should I make you some coffee?" I asked my mother as she entered the kitchen

"yes please my dear" she responded while stretching her arms.

So i made the coffee and head back to my room.

"How could she think of breaking my heart like that? Was I not good enough for her?"

Each question bouncing up and down in my mind, like a child on a trampoline.

Like always, time flies by and it is time for me to leave for school. As i set foot outside, the misty, cold breeze hits the sides of my face. I place my hands into my pocket and off i go.

Its only 06:00am. The sky still pitch black as i walked the streets. All i could think of was Mikayla. Ironically as i was trying my best to forget her. As i took the corner, i place my headphones onto my head, turning on some rap music.

My friend recently sent me a track of J Cole. Wet dreams. It sounded interesting so i pressed play.

....she was in my math class, long hair, brown skin with the fat ass...

As i listened, i listened with intensity. Focusing on the words, but at the same time becoming more aware of my surroundings. As i walked pass each house, the more i felt pressurised. As if something was about to happen.

It felt like someone was watching me as i walked pass each house. It felt like someone was calling out to me. But i didn't feel the need to look.

I continued my long walk until finally, i came to a standstill. The streets were empty, but not to long, the taxi i take every morning arrives.

i get in.

Like always, i head towards the back. As i sat down, i unplugged my headphones, placing them into my bag. I take out the fare needed to pay the taxi driver. A few minutes later, we reach our destination. I pay the driver so I get out.

"give me your phone here!" a voice came from behind me.

As i turned around to see who it was, it was already too late. By the time i tried defending myself, the gun had already been placed to my head.

"Scream and i'll shoot you boy. What you got in your bag?"

"Nothing, its just my school books, nothing else." I could feel every part of my body shake with fear. I was tremendously scared.

Without hesitation, the guy grabbed my bag from off my shoulder. As he checked inside, he lost focus. He was no longer focusing on me, so i tried hitting him. With all the force i could place into one powerful shot at his face, it hardly did any damage. It just made him furious.

"What the fuck, you trying boy?"

As the guy raised the gun to my head again, a voice echoed from behind the man.

"heeey! You leave thar boy right now!"

It was a police officer. Thank goodness. I felt so relieved as the gun slowly moved away from my body.

As the police officer took the man into custody, i got my belongings back. As i made my way through the school gates, a hand lands onto my shoulders. I turn around to see who it could be....
