The footsteps following me sounded closer. I ran through the empty corridors of the hospital, my heart pounding with terror.
I turned to a corner and stopped short. I had reached a dead end,I had to think fast.It was as if God sent down an angel,he came out of the Emergency room and saw me shaking,he was about to say something when my pursuer came grabbing my hand and shaking me.
"You think you are smart huh? now come with me and corporate"he said with a harsh time.
"She's going nowhere with you"my mystery man said
"Who the hell are you?"he asked getting really pissed
"I'm her husband"he said boldly and I was surprised
"Isn't that right darling?"he asked me who was too scared to speak,I just nodded with my head still down
"Well since you are her husband,why hasn't she informed you about the three million dollars she owes me huh?"he asked
"What!! what did she use it for?"he asked surprisingly
"How the hell I'm I supposed to know?ask your wife"she said impatiently as the mystery man turned to me,I couldn't help but burst into tears
"My seven year old daughter was in coma(sobs)she has been in coma for years now, doctors had done several operations and tests on her but nothing was working (pause)the money I borrowed from him was all spent on her treatment,but at the end she died this morning (cries hard)I'm sorry,I never wanted to cause any trouble,I promise to work it out as your slave for the rest of my life"I said as I cried even hard.
"Hey lady,I'm sorry about that,but you should have said something earlier I would have given you more time"he said s
"How much is the money again?"the mystery man asked.
"Three million dollars"He said as the mystery man brings out a check book and gave it to him.
"That's five million dollars,take it and get the hell out of here"he said
"It's nice doing business with you guys"he said as he skips off like a school girl.
"Thanks but you shouldn't have done that,that's a huge sum of money you just gave out for a complete stranger"I said
"It's ok(pause)so can I see your daughter?"he asked
"She was taken to the morgue few minutes ago"I said as I wiped away a tear from my eye
"Don't you have a husband?"he asked
"I used to(sigh's)he left the night before Sarah went into coma"I said
"Sorry about that"he said
"It's not your fault"I said
"Can I take you out for a drink?if you don't mind"he asked
"I don't think that's a good idea, you've done enough already"I said
"I insist"he said and I agreed

He took me to a fancy restaurant,where we got to know each other better, after that he offered to drop me home,I refused but he insisted,so I gave in,when we got to my place we saw the whole building was on fire and what my mystery man did next shoke my world.
