Compassion:live for others
#WritcoStoryPrompt9
The cry was faint but I heard loud and clear it as I walked past the dark bushes. My steps faltered. It was late and I wasn’t sure if it was a smart thing to stop and inspect the source I groped to find a dog whimpering in pain I took it up and started my search for vet nearby
I found a vet about to close his clinic upon my humble request he agreed to
see the dog it was hurt badly the vet gave injection washed and dressed up the wounds and gave medicine s to be given I offered him his fees which he refused to take saying it's my duty not my business I can amass money from a business but it will not give satisfaction
but this act has given me satisfaction to have served to save a creature this I have served God you must have read "he prayeth best who loveth best all creatures big and small for Lord God made them all" I kept listening to him
as if I was sitting in a pew of a church
and the priest was delivering a sermon
I took leave thanking him our life is a teacher we must become learners life itself presents events that transform our life and give a blow to our ego in which we have pride in our learning money status and fame we are dwarfed by a layman any other vet would've demanded more money for staying in late hours over his fees but see this person who refused his fees I felt blessed that destiny placed before me
a true servant of God I thanked my stars and that dog who led me to meet such a man of great thinking truely feeling compassion and live for others
is highest dictum and the highest religion.
