Love In Bits..
#WritcoStoryPrompt120
Write a story based on the phrase "You will realize a person's worth when they are gone."

I miss her, I really do. Words can't tell how I wish she's close to hear me voice it out. I recall the moments when She was visible to hold unto; those moment when I gave her nothing but put up a cold attitude just to push her away. Am sitting here now, all alone on the same bench She sat close by me with pieces of flashback; To when I didn't call for an invite but She was always available. The same place where She never got tired of talking about herself and more. To when I asked for nothing, but She'll pour out all. She did her best to make me happy and interactive by bringing up a conversation everytime, but I never opened up. I really didn't care.

I recall the day She got dressed in my favourite colour just to impress me. She looked silly to others because She was dressed in a 'yellow' outfit all through, from the colour of her headband and the shoes her feet carried. People made mockery of her but I still didn't care. She cared enough, So She kept adding bits each day.

The memories of her showing me her paintings; pictures of how She birth her emotions in an artwork. I was always the first to see what makes her happy. She loved writing in the sand when ever She sat by me, but I felt it was disgusting. Until She left and her memories made me fall inlove with what I disliked about her then.

Lilly will write my name in the sand, turn each letter upside down and make drawings out of it. It always turn out in the shape of Love. She does the magic her own way. It was beautiful in the end, but I overlooked her efforts and now She's gone. She made me laugh so hard when She tried to sing like my favourite artist, (Selena Gomez). It was a sad day for me and She tried putting a smile on my face. Again, I didn't ask for her help, neither did I open up but I guess She figured it out because She was so much into me. She had a way of communicating to my heart when ever I was down.

Her mum was a house help in our range. She assist her with the chores after class. I call for her service when I feel like it. She fell for a rich dude with catchy looks and a bossy attitude along the line. The last thing on my mind is to fall for a low class girl, far from my standard of living.

Lilly was the best student in her class. This paved a way to study abroad through a scholarship. She said her final goodbye on the same bench where She added bits of love each day. She left and I traced her efforts only to realize it's genuine Love. The kind that doesn't die easily. The bits feels refreshing and makes me miss her each passing day. The last painting She gifted me makes me regret shutting the door to my heart behind her. My name is written upside down here also and it's beautiful.

I really miss Lilly! She was so different from what I looked out for in a girl, very far from my specs then.
But now I realize, that was the uniqueness She carried within.

I'm here waiting on the day to see her again. Just one last time, I wish. To tell her how I feel about her!

"You'll realize a person's worth when they're gone"

I believe love is more beautiful when differences birth memories that never fade away. Every bit of Love is worth appreciating. It makes it grow to glow.
Love comes with genuine efforts no matter how small it is.
Don't undermine the bits it comes with. If there is anything that doesn't fail, it's genuine love!
