Somehow they are trapped!
Everywhere I walk, in banks, schools, colleges, et cetera,
I find adolescents. And somehow finding adolescents in these places and more as I mentioned isn't wrong in itself.
No! What's wrong is that I find an adolescent with a phone. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with having a phone however, it becomes wrong when you are engrossed, completely immersed in whatever is going on behind that screen.
Try this.
Whenever you are in a café or a Mall, in a queue, or a public area, look away from your device and look at youths like you.
Somehow, they are trapped!
There should be interactions. Someone asking how, someone asking why, someone asking, “What's next?”
Everyone's busy typing, who knows what!?
They chat, listen to music, and do business, and yes! There's sth wrong with that!
I've occasionally been a victim of that but somehow I've figured out that not every time is screen time.
You can leave your device, you can unplug your earphones, and just listen to the breeze speaking.
Maybe, just maybe, somehow you won't end up like others- trapped behind the blue light!
