FOR OR AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE (CHAPTER 6)
Joe Cole run as fast as he could and finally met the governor.  The governor upon seeing Joe Cole was curious of the fact why Joe Cole run as fast when he came to him. Joe Cole upon panting and having less breath said to the governor, "The Nframabonians.....they've invaded the castles and taken riot of everything. They've killed most of our soldiers, freed the slaves to be part of their army and they've kidnapped you family."

The governor and Nathaniel seemed to have been blown by the wind of fear and worry. They quickly went to the castle but it was too late when they got there. The castle was half way burnt with lots of dead people. The governor tore his clothes in anguish and bitterness, thus he was in a haste to take revenge on them. Meanwhile Nathaniel saw Mrs. Diana laying dead on the ground. He wailed and threw dust in the air due to the bitterness he felt in his heart.

He realised those who took care of him during his hideout were killed by his own people. He left the castle and run in sorrow to the sea side. All he did was to weep and throw dust in the atmosphere.  He did this till his face became swollen and eyes became red.

Joe Cole went to the coast and saw Nathaniel facing the sea crying bitterly. He went on to try and console him. Nathaniel asked Joe,"Why? Why should life be treating me this way. Joe tell me something." Joe answered, "Man, they found out they were being cheated by we. So for revenge's sake this is what they did to us. Riot the castle, killed people, stole our stuffs and hmm....! It's really depressing." Nathaniel got up and Joe asked,"Where to?" Nathaniel answered, "I'm going home."

He got home and laid on his bed distressed and broken. This pillow soaking up the salty water that came from his eyes continously. Out of the blue a knock came from the door, Nathaniel got up to open the door and there he received a letter from the mailman. He saw the letter and realised it was from the governor.

He opened it and it said,"Dear Nat, I'm very happy for your great work and effort for being my personal bodyguard. Right now with what has happened which was a shock and a surprise to all. With the way things are going on I think you cannot serve me as a bodyguard anymore because they're your people. And since trust us hard to earn I have to hand you over to freedom. All the best in life. Thank you for your service in the British army."

Nathaniel leaned at his back door and tried to sit on the ground whiles leaning, thus he came down like water dropping from a wall. He said,"Can't this day get any better. Very soon they might even sack me from my place of residence." He dressed in his house attire and went to a forest river to be alone till who knows when. In a fully depressed state and memories flashing back and forth in his mind, he wished he would give a loud should to be relieved but it was of no use.

After a period of thirty minutes a young lady who was a servant in the King's Palace came to fetch water. Nathaniel saw her and admired the beauty of the lady. The glowing brown skin colour with no spot, the sparkle in her eyes, her calm nature like that of a dove, and the curvy body shape put him in the realm of departure. He was in the moment of good cool breeze of emotions until some two men came into the scene trying to harass her.

Upon the harassment and intimidation the lady face they tried to rape her since they taught no one saw them. Nathaniel saw this and in his anguish, bitterness and resentment he was facing he went on to attack those two men. He gave them the beating and the punches of their lives, thus they were seriously injured and run away.

Nathaniel went to her and asked her if she was okay. In her tensed manner of fear and shock of what she saw she replied,"Yes...I am okay." She said to Nathaniel,"let me send you to the king so that I'd tell him you saved me from some people who wanted to take my dignity away." In fear that history would repeat itself Nathaniel replied,"Oh no. I didn't save you for fame. I saved you because you don't deserve yo be treated that way." They both smiled at each other but the lady smiled in a shyly.

Nathaniel asked,"Do you always come here fetch water." She answered,"Yes please." Nathaniel felt warmness in his heart upon hearing this and said,"I mostly come here to have sometime alone. So I'd be expecting you tomorrow." They both asked for their names for which the lady mentioned hers, which was Afia Boateng.

This time Nathaniel went home with little happiness and made plans to go on and meet her the following day.

Upon meeting the following day, Nathaniel hastily went to help her fetch water. There they engaged in a lengthy conversation with laughter and giggles all over. This slightly pushed away the pain Nathaniel was experiencing for the past days. At least he was very glad he was making someone smile. Yet he was somehow scared he would one day get caught one day speaking to the royal servants. He was in the middle of two troubles. With both countries thinking he is against them.

He then began to feel feathers ticking within him. He said,"Oh no. This can't be. I can't fall for someone who lives with the people against me. If she finds out who I am I might as well commit suicide. This can't be...." There Joe Cole came to Nathaniel to check up if he is okay. There Joe smelled something fishy going on in Nathaniel's life since his worry was different from other worries. Joe asked him what was going wrong. There Nathaniel explained everything to him on how he met Afia and how he is scared his true identity would be made known.

"My brother, someday she'd find out someway somehow. This is a dangerous game you're playing. You ought to play your cards very well with smartness..." said Joe. "Yes, but the real problem here is I've fallen for her. It happened on the first day I met her. No matter how hard I tried to resist it never worked", said Nathaniel. "Follow what your heart tells you bro. If anything happens know that I'm there for you", said Joe. Joe gave him a warm hug and saw the entrance.

It so happened Afia was escorted by two servant girls who also came to fetch water. Afia saw Nathaniel and quickly went to hug him so tightly and intimately. The other girls could not believe their eyes upon what they saw. A hug which looked like they were in a relationship. They soon refrained and Afia could not raise her head to look into Nathaniel's eyes. Her head bent down playing with her fingers whiles Nathaniel was speaking to her.

Nathaniel took hold of her hands, held it in a cute manner and said,"Look into my eyes." Afia shyly looked into his eyes portraying the love he felt for her. With the electromagnetic waves of love hovering around them on the outside and feathers ticking within them on the inside. "Eeii, Afia it's okay. Let's go before they scold us." As they said this they laughed, gossiped and planned to question her. Afia said to him,"It seems I have to go. Have a nice day." There she gave him that intimate hug and left.

Nathaniel observed them at a distance and when he saw they are a distant far he sighed heavily. He thought to himself,"What is going to be of me now? If she finds out who I really I'm I'd be hated forever. I've also fallen in love with her. Phew...I'm in a thick dilemma."
