" You know, you really should get back into your music, Jeremy" his sister Shannon said with glee. " look, me and Duane are having a duet in the upcoming festival. You should join it. But Jeremy felt dejected as he often did concerning his music. He figured he had embarrassed himself enough over the last fifteen years and was willing to give it up for good and just pursue his writing until he died. He said to Shannon, "Listen, I am happy for y'all so be happy for me, I am retired from the music scene". "Have it your way" replied Shannon as she left with Duane to go practice. Jeremy knew he was making the right decision even though the music haunted him every day. He just wanted to be free from the idea of being famous, "I am too old for that nonsense, I will be 46 tomorrow! The game is over" he told himself once again, for the thousandth time. "It is over" and he walked home pondering his dreams.
