Gamophobia 2
Gamophobia Part 2:

In 2018, I returned from Dehradun after completing my engineering, entering the onset of winter, likely November. Job hunting in Kashmir, I stumbled upon an intriguing advertisement for the role of assistant manager at Maruti Vehicleads in the morning newspaper. Despite the position requiring a minimum of 3 years' experience and possibly a master's degree, it was open to any graduates. Opting for the opportunity, I called for an interview.

On the interview day, the HR, a tall and beautiful woman around 38 years old, held my CV. After a brief smile, she inquired about my choice as a fresher for such a competitive position. Responding confidently, I expressed my desire to face the interview.

Impressed by my performance, she called her managing director, praising my exceptional interview. I was directed to the office of the managing director, a retired army officer with a commanding presence. Nervous after one interview, I pondered what he might ask.

With my CV in hand, he eyed me from head to toe and asked an unexpected question: "Are you married?" I explained that I had recently completed my bachelor's. He followed up, inquiring about my marriage plans and preferences in a wife, including the delicate topic of beauty.

Caught off guard, I hesitated before responding with a preference for a modest and religious woman. The managing director pressed on, emphasizing the importance of beauty. I countered by asking about the significance of the heart.

After a thoughtful pause, he declared the interview concluded and informed me of my success, leaving me both relieved and grateful as I exited his office.
