The Shadow In The Mirror
"The Shadow in the Mirror"

As I stood in front of the antique mirror, I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine. It was an eerie piece, with intricate carvings of snakes and skulls etched into its frame. My friend, Sarah, had warned me not to buy it, but I couldn't resist its macabre charm.

At first, everything seemed normal. I'd glance in the mirror, and see my own reflection staring back. But as the days went by, I started to notice something strange. My reflection would move on its own, ever so slightly, as if it was trying to get my attention.

One night, I was getting ready for bed when I saw it. A dark figure, lurking just behind my reflection. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and its presence seemed to fill the room with an unspeakable evil.

I tried to ignore it, but the figure kept appearing, its presence growing stronger with each passing day. I started to feel like I was being watched, even when I wasn't looking in the mirror. I'd see it out of the corner of my eye, lurking in the shadows.

I knew I had to get rid of the mirror, but it seemed to have a hold on me. I was trapped in a living nightmare, and I didn't know how to escape.

One fateful night, I confronted the figure in the mirror. It spoke to me in a voice that was both familiar and yet, utterly alien. "You should not have looked," it hissed. "Now you will never be able to look away."

And with that, the mirror shattered, releasing a darkness that consumed me whole. I was never seen or heard from again, and the mirror was never found. But some say that on certain nights, when the moon is full, you can still see my reflection, trapped in the mirror's broken glass, forever staring into the abyss.
