The willow tree
Blow! Blow! That’s what it does all day. Strong and hard, the wind goes on and on.
It hits the poor little willow tree on the hill ever so fiercely, without any mercy it hits the sides of the tree with a mighty turbulence that could remove a whole forest from it roots!
But try as it may, the willow tree still remains firm in its position. Sway as it may, bend as it might, but it never falls, the willow tree always straightens back up and faces the wind as if mocking it.
The wind marvels at this, but its anger and pride conquers its astonishment, so it is more determined to bring this frail thing to the ground where it shall lay and rot!
So it blows and blows, but it is still a repeat of the same events that has occurred over and over again!
Finally, the wind though very reluctantly, soon gives up with a sigh and leaves the frail willow tree still standing tall be.
This story told of the frail little tree and the mighty wind is very similar to the story of our very lives. We have our dreams and goals we want to achieve more than anything in the world but life’s challenges just like the mighty wind won’t just let us be.
Life, just like the wind blows fiercely at us, but instead of air, it blows disappointments, dissaprovals, hardship, depression, weakness and the likes at us.
But, we must be like the willow tree, though life blows us hard and strong we never ever fall!
Yes, we are humans and at times we feel down, depressed by life challenges but after everything we stand straight up and look life in the eye and say, “NO MATTER WHAT I AM GOING TO MAKE IT!” Just like the frail little willow tree on the hill.
