The Haunted House
In the blank space of a dark room of an old abandoned house stood a single, flickering candle. No matter what, this candle never blew off. It looked as though someone was in there making sure of it. However, no one had been staying there. No caretaker to take care of this house too. No one knew whom it belonged too. The room was thickly covered in dust and cobwebs with big spiders and the cracked walls adorned with peeling wallpaper. It was said that the house was haunted, but Anna didn't believe in such things. She wanted to see it for herself. So, she bravely entered the haunted house and stepped further into the dark room, feeling a chill run down her spine.

As she reached the center of the room, a sudden gust of wind blew out the candle, plunging her into complete darkness. She had heard about the flickering candle which was always lit. But the sudden darkness scared her to the core and she could now hear her thudding heartbeats loud and clear. She fumbled for her phone, the only source of light she had. But as she turned it on, she saw something that made her blood run cold.

In the corner of the room, a figure stood tall and ghostly. Anna's hands shook as she whispered, "Who are you?" The figure remained silent at first, its eyes glowing in the darkness. And then, in a voice that sounded like a whispering wind, it spoke, "Whoever comes here, never goes back. I enter the names of the oversmart people who come to meet me, in that black diary there. Now, I'll write your name."
