Unbroken Boundaries part 1
Oscar Night I just received my first award as best actress of the year in a Disney movie. If you're wondering what that movie was, It was princess and the frog. Obviously I played princess tiana. However, this whole experience was like a dream come true. I got to work with some amazing people including Tom Holland. Words couldn't explain how I felt as I made my way on the red carpet.
“There're so many people,” I said, merging into the crowd which I was surrounded by.
I saw many of the world's greatest idols like Jennifer Anderson, Chris Patt, Johnny Depp and much more. Honestly I never been surrounded by so many artists before I was marveled. Scanning my surroundings with great fascination, I came across a figure that was sharp, elegant and well mannered. There he was. My whole body began to sweat as our eyes met. He had on a fitted black tux, his dark blonde hair made him appear like a star in the night. He was staring directly at me. I became nervous. I tried to act as if I didn't see him just out of desperation of being noticed.
“It couldn't be possible I thought”.
I mean I didn’t really think this whole manifesting your dream world could actually come true. I found myself having a flash back reminiscing on the nights where I would imagine and declare even, that one day I will be with him and we will spend the rest of our lives together. Back then I thought I was crazy and deluded.
“How could that be realistic?'' I would tell myself. “We’re from two different worlds and cultures”
After the brief encounter with my memories. I quickly got hold of myself, I Couldn't help but realize that he was staring at me this whole time. I felt his eyes scanning me from head to toe. I looked around to see if there were anyone else around me but to my surprise I was the only one standing in the area I was at.
“ How long was I standing here?” I thought looking confused as to where everyone went.
as I turned back I saw him, he smiled and waved.
"are you waving at me?" gesturing my finger towards me.
he laughed then nodded.
I smile faintly trying to be as normal as possible.
" Ohh you're in love with a korean boy Huh?" My assistant, Alice, said.
Alice was my best friend, she and I attended highschool together but she ended up moving during senior year and we lost contact but shortly later we reconnected again when I started school in New York. She was the same Alice, funny, charming and always there when I needed her. She was majoring in psychology at that time and was really excited when I asked her to be my assistant, she suggested that she would love to be a part of my team and I was so glad that she joined. our relationship has been flourishing ever since .
" where were you?" I said bluntly, ignoring her question.
“ Setting up an interview with these guys” Alice said pointing to some dudes with cameras.
“ are they waiting for me?” I asked
“ Yes , they just want to ask some questions about tonight and whatever else interviewers ask.” Alice said as she grabbed me and pulled me.
“Loosen me” I said, ripping my arm from her grip.
“ Hey calm down, this is your moment” Alice said as she smiled.
“ Hi Nice to meet you, Ms. Nathea Haskins How’s this experience been so far?” The interviewer asked.
“ It’s like a dream come true, words can’t articulate this feeling” I reply with pure excitement.
As the interviewer proceeded with questions, I felt this uneasiness aching my stomach as I turned to my side. I could see the figure in the corner of my eyes, In disbelief I turned to see who it was. A shock wave of emotions streamed through my body. It was him, we were no longer than 20 inches close to each other. I was speechless, It seems as if time was no more. His eyes were so bright like the morning star and his smile was just gorgeous. I could see him blushing, his pink cheeks instantly turning red as he smiled at me. I smiled back but Seconds later I was brought back to reality due to Alice's attempts.
" Say Something Nathea” Alice whispered
Suddenly I realized I was still having this interview, I quickly played it off.
“ Oh sorry , I got distracted by the glory of this place” I said smiling just to throw them off the suspicion of a potential psychotic person.
“ That’s okay, shall we proceed?” the interviewer said.
“ Yes” I reply
" Congratulations on your award tonight so amazing to be able to interview such a gorgeous actress like yourself. we're surrounded by so many artists tonight. Tell me do you have any celebrity crushes or anyone here who has caught your eye?" Interviewer asked
I remained speechless as I saw him passing me. The smell of his brief presence lingered in my mind
as I replied " him" pointing in his direction.
Confusion swept their face due to the uncertainty to whom I was referring to. He was too quick for anyone to see him.
" Who? Leonardo dicaprio?" The interviewer asked
" Oh no sorry him…...as in God?" I said with a gloomy smile Playing it off.
" Okay well Amen to you sister, Ha Ha That's it for our interview tonight thank you for tuning in with us this hollowood live coming at ya(CUT!!)……… Thanks for being with us and hopefully we get to meet again" the interview said
" Yes thanks for having me " I answered feeling totally embarrassed. " as I walked off Alice confronted me.
“What happened to you back there?" alice said with concern
" Nothing, I just got distracted,'' I replied.
“ By that korean boy” she smiled
“ huh?” I said
“ I couldn’t help but notice you and him sharing a moment so I thought it would be nice if I set up interview you where you two could …..perhaps see each other close up” She said smiling
“This cunning bitch how could she do something like this” I thought
“ wow you sure know how to surprise someone” I said calmly
“ yeah you gotta have fun sometimes” she said, opening the door of the car that was parked on the curb. “ c’mon we gotta head back to the hotel ...I am drained” she said while hopping in the car.
That whole ride back to the hotel all I could think about was him and how we locked eyes I was totally in a trance.
“ Wake up we’re here” Alice said as she opened the door for me.
When we got inside the room, I instantly collapsed on bed.
“ well goodnight. Remember You’ve gotta leave here at 5am tomorrow for the marvel interview ``Alice said, setting up her bed for rest. Marvel saw one of my letters explaining about a script I wrote about a hero who would soon save the hearts of the broken people. Couldn't believe they wanted to see me.
“ goodnight” I replied while fading into sleep.
