the weekend project-5
In the evening, they took her to the temple of Kul-Devi.. the temple of clan goddess who protects all... the priest pushed the bell and there opened a secret door to an underground cell... they went down the stairs and entered a huge hall. On one side were the beautiful paintings, one wall had weapons, one wall was full of fine gold ornaments and one wall had an idol of Kali Mata- mother Goddess who is revered and kills the demons. To its right was a glass chamber which had a lamp- like structure and it was glowing. The king told her that earlier it used to be a flame but recently it has grown in size and glowing more, we are afraid if it will keep on increasing then what turn of events it can start.

There was a small metal door on the pedestal of the lamp and it had a keyhole. So, she correctly assumed the key she had was for this lock. The priest said they need the key and the mantras written in a seperate book and the vidhi will bring control to all this. So Nia now knew they would need to go back and return with the things of the locker.

She was now worried how they would go back, bring back the keys, then return to do the needful and in return go back to her own time. She asked Samarth, the king and her junior. He looked at her with a respectful love or was it a loving respect ...?? "I have been using the portal to time-travel, it will be done. It's just that only now you are convinced this is all actual. Come with me" he said. He took her to a hall full of family portraits. There she saw a portrait of a lady- she was the best friend of her grandmother and had lived with them.

" Do you recognise her? She was a daughter of this dynasty. But then she was lost around the time we started the 1857 war. The East-India had taken over our fort and she disappeared the same night. No one knew she had the keys and the book of mantras. But we have a guess she was saved by your family. So she must have given them the keys.

It was around 8 pm, she was looking down the castle onto the village and the evening lights. Old villages were full of life, she had thought otherwise. Samarth came and told her to come with her, they reached the moat again and then suddenly she heard a strange sound and saw a flash. The stone gave way and she was falling again, followed by Samarth.

to be continued....
