It was a perfect evening with lights all around. Everyone was at the brink of celebration. Children were dancing and singing to their joy and the elders cheering on their little ones. Being an introvert I wasn't able to express but silently I was watching and cheering myself inside. Walking towards the orchards, like a flash, we locked our eyes first. That was our first meet.


He was standing at a distance, still was clear in that dim yellow lights. I walked (really gravitated) towards him and still, that is a mystery to me - how I did that. We were so nervous as we ain't uttered a word for two minutes. It was like - there's only two of us and everything seemed to be paused for a moment.

I gazed deeply into the most bewitching blue eyes. 'why you are here?. I asked spontaneously. Well, I was on my way to my friend's home and unexpectedly heard about the celebration here so I just...'. My heart was beating so fast. Four months back we became friends. He was just a nice guy. We become so intimate..like that we know each other for a long period. We texted every day and shared the things of the past. Yeah, we only know through the pictures. Still, we recognized each other at the first meet itself in those murky lights.


Two days back I texted him about the event and now he's like it's an unexpected meeting. Isn't that cute!!. Well, I enjoyed that and I was blushing all the time. He caressed his hair and said- 'Are you leaving now? ..I checked the time and it was past eight. I felt low and I was like why didn't you come early??. ' Yes! It's been a while since I've been here. Those moments were so wonderful and striking.

I think he too thought the same(he should have). 'Yeah it's getting dark and You.., Well, I am leaving too.. . I'll text you as soon as I reach home '. What to say I was struck and I just smiled like an idiot and shook my head as it's like ok.

Time flew so fast. Now it's been four years. Still, I make fun of him about that day like how nervous he was. Though years passed, everything remains the same. Except for our love, which is increasing day by day.
