In this part, they knew the story behind the evil:

The moment was very dreadful, they screamed and runs away from the house. But their speed was not more than those ghosts. Sam was caught by the ghost and to save the sam, matt helped him. The Police fire the gun but the fire was useless in front of the ghost.
They returned to their camp, they were damn scared. They were packing everything and planning to leave the forest.
"We lost Neil. I am dejected. " said Matt.
"Yes! Me too, but we should must leave to save ourselves. "said Sam.
"See guys! Keep this thing in between us, I will don't accuse you both for Neil but also have to keep this disguised from everyone. "
The Police tell them that this is a soul of an old man. Many years ago, We was living in this forest alone. We love the nature but some industrialist came one day and they were about to demolish this forest and planned to build a town. The Old man tried to prevent them by building but he failed and so they killed the old man. After his death, his spirit don't let anyone enter into the forest, if someone then he probably can't go. The police tell them the story behind this evil. The Forest has been cursed but the motive of the old man was right. The old man's is in the tree.
They decided to leave the forest immediately. They take their car and drive fast towards the exit of the forest but suddenly the soul of the old man with sticks high enough obstructed the car. The road was very small and huge trees across it. Suddenly the trees also starts shifting into evil, they looked crooked and wreaked.
"What now?" asked Matt.
"I am gonna to drive through the tree, smashing through. " said Sam with energy.
The drive in with full speed and finally they escape through the dark forest. They all turn back, they saw the trees were ugly staring at them.
