Letter to Dad
I miss my dad. Where did he go?

It’s the same body, same color hair, same kind of shorts and shirts he usually wears with colors that don’t always match.
But it’s not him.

My dad loves God with all his heart and puts his family before everything else.
This guy seems to lack such faith and prefers to enjoy fun, selfish pleasures over his family, friends, and myself.

My dad is someone I love to hangout with and make silly jokes and play fun games and watch movies and shows.
This guy is more creepy than fun, he makes weird gestures and has no sense of personal space and likes to lay on the couch at night after hydrating from the silver cans, thinking that no one else knows.

But I know. I know that’s not my dad.

My dad is a man of God.
My dad knows better than to let something silly take over his life and relationships with friends and family.
My dad is hiding deep down inside this strange man who I don’t know.

It’s like a secret treasure chest.
One that you know is filled with gold and all things amazing.
But it’s locked and you don’t have the key to open it.
You do all you can to look...
