WHY ENVY YOUR FRIEND
Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Imagine two friends in a class. One dedicate his time and effort to his education by studying every now and then to see that he obtain a good grade. And the other friend feel it's not necessary, But any time the teacher ask questions in the class the serious friend answer the question and he becomes someone who was recognised by almost all the teachers and students due to the fact that he was brilliant.

The other friend became angry and jealous forgetting that, they both have options. They both decide their path and the brilliant one choose to be serious while the other think it not necessary.

Instead of the other one to become serious, he start developing jealousy and envy towards his friend. He started looking for his downfall.

This is exactly what happened to Cain here,Instead of him to change his ways and learn from his mistake, he became envious of his brother.

Mind you, a man whose heart is full of envious act is making a pathway for sin. Because, a man who envy can go to any length just to achieve what he wants.

You know what is right but instead, you refuse to do that which is right probably due to your negligence. You feel it not important or necessary. Since you decided not to do the right thing, why do you then envy someone who dedicate his time and effort to see that thing come out well

Enving can not be for the right thing. A man who envies, envy to lust, desire and hatred.

And one of the solution to it is to rule over your thought. By being the master over it. Not allowing your emotion to overwhelm you and lead you to do the wrong thing.
