Traumatic Mindset
Good Morning Folks.
Yesterday I read a novel, quite interesting, startling and just awesome.
'Red Sparrow' by Jason Mattews, is basically about a Russian spy, using sex to obtain secrets and information during a ' cold war' environment in modern times.
For her to become stronger, she must go through graphic physical and sexual violence. In the end, this will "liberate" her and she will become a stronger person.
Just imagine a whole book about a woman being assaulted, raped and beaten up and these traumatic experiences makes her strong? empowered? liberated?
Like Wtf 😒
The author seems to think that female action heroines need to be traumatized and raped and tortured in order to be strong.
Woman who experience sexual violence are traumatized and it is not a liberating experience. It is an experience that requires therapy and counseling.

Do write your opinion.

Thank you for reading.☺️
