The Bruises
The sun was setting, the lights turned dim and the city was as usual crowded with people and everyone was rushing to go home and get back in their comfort zone.
A boy was walking down the lane, listening to music trying to escape the reality. He had bruises and scars on his face and hands. It looked like this boy had been bullied by his peers but it is far than that.

When he was a few steps away from his house, kept his phone in his pocket. He took a deep breath, tried to hide his scars and bruises with his hoodie. That boy was greeted by his mother at the doorsteps. At one glance she knew that something was not right. The boy was worried whether his mother would be able to find out what happened in school today so he kept clutching his sleeves and looking down at the rug.She hugged him and told him to freshen up.

He went upstairs and freshened up.He cleaned those scars and before coming upstairs he was successful at bringing the ice pack before his mother stopped him for anything else.As soon as he was finished treating his wounds he heard a knock on his door. It was his elder brother. His brother asked him, "open the door Ryan and is everything alright?"He let him in on one condition that he will not tell anything to mom and his brother agreed.
At one look his brother knew that Ryan was once again beaten up by those so called 'cool-kids' in his highschool. Ryan told him," you don't have to panic I was able to hide this from mom but I guess not for long; and I know you are right they were the same guys who did this to me." His brother said,"we will talk about it later, now hurry up mom is calling to have dinner."
