Kindness and politeness are two aspects of humanity.
They are two parallel wheels of a vehicle. If you are one without them you cannot be considered human. Because humans have only one thing additional from animals i.e. emotions.
If you don't have one or can't feel one then I am sorry you aren't one. Just being kind is like a tea without ginger. Assuming that you are kind but don't have the art to express it you'll loose the battle. And if you are polite and don't know what to express then it's of no worth.




BETTER EXPLANATION:-
You saw a beggar asking your alm and you are kind enough to stretch your arm but don't know how to express your care and make him comfortable with your words you will have a "but" in your character.
And if you are soft but not selfless to him it will be like saying "mind your own business" with care. Isn't it sounding wierd?
