Sunrise Pt. 2
All that had happened just in my head.. The real story was as far from it as it could be..
When we reached our destination city, we rented a few scootys and went to the villa we had booked, to freshen up and head out for the day.. After freshing up, everyone stated coming out and got ready to go.. She did not know how to ride a scooty and wanted to learn.. I taught her but she couldn't maintain her balance and smashed into the wall.. She fell backwards with her head first.. To this day I swear I saw that in slow motion.. We rushed towards her, and checked upon her.. Within a few seconds she started having a seizure.. It freaked the hell out of all of us.. I was rubbing her hand with both of mine, asking her if she could hear me.. Ats soon as her seizure stopped, she laid there, still.. At that very moment one of us said, "Check if she has a heartbeat", before I could even understand him, another said, "Check if she's breathing".. My body stopped working, I froze in the moment.. It took me a second to get back to normal, and check up oon her.. She was breathing.. A sigh of relief.. Everything rushed up and we took her to the hospital.. I was one of those who went in the auto with her.. She gained some consciousness bbut didn't have any memory of whwhere she was and why.. She started crying and asking us the same questions on repeat.. It freaked the hell out of us.. We reached the hospital and admitted her.. The rest of the gang too reached there ASAP.. She got first aid and started resting.. I couldn't let go of her hand the entire time.. Everyone took turns at the hospital.. For some reason, I just couldn't be away from her.. I never went back.. Not at least for the next 12 or so hrs, until her father could reach there.. I remember my feet, back, head and what not aching like hell.. I didn't even sit the entire time, bec the seats were just too far away from her.. Her ward being a female ward, allowed only female attendant.. I can't even recall how many times I got scolded by various nurses for lurking around.. I just needed to see her every few seconds to make sure she was doing fine.. The entire day went like that.. I finally went back when her father arrived.. I remember the relief my back felt as soon as I laid for a minute or so.. And then the drinking began.. Drinks helped to ease the tiredness and the shock of the day..
The Sun never rose for me the next day..
