One day while trying to silence my mind and unwind from all the chaos engulfing me , I stumbled upon a beautiful story . The story was about a hunter who was pursuing a deer across the frozen peaks of the Himalayas . The moment he encountered a colossal mountain , the mountain splitted into two parts which gave a chance to hunter to take a glimpse at what was on the other side of mountain . An old man approached the hunter and gave him a short tour of the other side . The other side was embellished with greenery and the golden rays of sun were shining radiantly on the fecund earth . The inhabitants were basking in the glory of bliss and the animals freely wandered without any threat . The place had a sublime touch of serenity and abundance to it . It was indeed another paradise . The hunter could not stop but marvel at the beauty of this paradise . The old man offered him to come and stay there forever . But hunter assured him that he will come back with his family soon . The old man warned him that the gates of this place will be open for just a limited period . But hunter said that he will be back soon and left to inform his family . When he came back with his family , the place had vanished into thin air . He was indeed disappointed . He lost an opportunity to stay in that paradise forever .
This beautiful story once again proved and delivered a timeless wisdom and that is , "A moment once lost , is lost forever ." But at the same time , there was something else which was more profound that was hidden in that story . Even though a moment does not last forever , but still each and every moment holds a forever inside it . Forever is not a lie because it lies in all the tiny moments of life . Every moment is a bucket which holds the water of tiny forevers inside it which are supposed to be cherished . We try to search forevers as if it is a tangible thing which can be found . But forever is neither lost nor found . It is present all the time in front of our very eyes . But we are blind to it's presence . Forever is felt inside the soul in each moment flowing eternally and imbuing life in each moment . Instead of trying to seek forever , if we stay in the moment , it will gently come in our lap like a tiny butterfly and by the time , our lap will be filled with several forevers which we will continue to cherish forever .
