Home of Anxieties
#Anxiety

Traveling she did, Addison was exhausted. Bouncing from town to town, bringing the community resources to the recreational center. She always felt great morally afterward.
As Addison returns home, she gets a bad tummy ache as she's entering her home. A childhood home that had been left to her and her sister Gloria, Who wasn't but a couple of years younger than Addison, Gloria got the best of their parent's years. The hairs on the back of Addison's neck stand up, and she gets an eerie feeling. Her parents killed themselves in the home, a suicide packed to be together forever, it seemed almost romantic.

The house wasn't up to par and the front porch looked to be falling apart. The grass seemed to be at a hi-rise in length. She hadn't believed she'd ever return to this place of not-so-good memories. The eerie feelings intensify as Addison turns the knob. The door makes a loud screeching noise as if it hadn't been opened in decades. The place was a true fixer-upper, at best. Addison has to remind herself it's all temporary of stay, all till the house sells as soon as the highest bidder reaches her liking of pay. She prays for a speedy Sale.

As Addison enters the dwelling she immediately spots the kitchen, the smell of stale tobacco wreaked thru and filled her nose, she gags, and the smell made her sickly. Her eyes are wide as she surveys the surroundings. Floored was covered in cigarette butts, cupboards were empty with webs buried inside. Beer bottles were broken to pieces and scattered in the living room area. The walls were filthy with yellowish stains. Photos are everywhere on the walls but no names or dates on them. The living room had a TV and a decent couch, that seemed to cheer her up. There was a coffee table in a random spot in the living room. It was wooden, long, and falling apart. She gazed upon the photos to try and recall the moments.
She can't believe the time has passed and no new recent photos were able to observe.

Addison finds a quiet spot to curl up, she felt fatigued. She quickly lays down and her eyes fall closed. She needed the twelve hours of sleep, as much as that sounds. Her heart broke at the thought that Gloria wouldn't make it to the family home until two days later, she hated being there alone. The home had a way of times where they would get into fights every night, and they held one another crying. Addison had too many tears due to this house and their parents. A sigh escaped her lips. Addison Surveys the area once more. She would have to call in help to get the home where it should be. It needed a makeover to get it sold quickly. She knew it needed to look great for a great price. She could use someone quickly who'd do it for cheap, she thought to herself. She could pull this off with a great eye like Gloria’s opinion. Not much furniture to get rid of. That was a positive. Not many major items occupy the house, just a few decent furniture items in the hallways. In short, the house seemed empty, for the most part. She finds her cell and researches housing rehabilitation. She spent about an hour on a tedious task. She had a few prospects at the end of it all. After narrowing it all down, she decided to choose an industry that had been local. Seemingly close by, maybe a few hours ways.

Addison Wants to leave to go nearby where it was cleaner. She picks up the phone and dials a number. “Hello?” A deep voice answers, Addison is surprised to her ears she already liked the person. “Hey, My name is Addison and I need a quote on an old 50’s home rehabilitation,” She says, hoping she was speaking with the right person. “What condition would you say the house was in”? The deep voice asked. Addison couldn't tell if it was a male or female she was speaking with. “Addison Hightower is your name, correct”? The Deep voiced character asked. Addison was shocked, “How is it you know my name, She asks frantically. “Your sister called us days earlier to send pictures of what will be dealing with, Gloria is her name right”?
Gloria planned it all out already, but why wouldn't she tell me this ahead of time? She trails off boggled for a minute in thought, she had no idea what to say. “This is a surprise, one I wasn't supposed to know about”. She comments. She wishes Gloria had talked to her. She remembers How Gloria Was so well prepared. “Send me a visual print”, I shall make visual notes and get it all together, She continued, Addison tries not to show she was still in shock. “Sending them to your email now”, The voice says. “I'll send my thoughts and tweaks as I see fit”.
“As you wish dear”, the voice on the other end replies.
The voice Proceeds to other topics, “How’s your stay so far”, deep as can be. Gloria Replies, “could be better”. “Your sister mentioned maybe you should stay at the Clover Inn”, The deep voice exclaims. A better sleep I bet, Addison thinks to herself.

She gathers the few items she did remove from the vehicle and scurries to her car.
“Thanks for all your help, what's your name”, Addison asks.
The voice replies, “No problem at all and my name is Drew, Will see you in a few days as he hangs up.
Drew was a professional. A true handyman.
She drove on to Clover Inn and grabbed a room with a pool indoors and a view.
She immediately gets ready for a putting, She thinks about who she'll call for a good time she doesn't know. Her mind supplies an answer quickly as can. She'll call Her Best Friend from childhood, she could catch up with Tatiana. It's been years, she hopes all is good and the same. Tatiana was a challenge, her personality wide open.
As she continued to get ready she looks her up, finds a number, saves it, and finishes styling for the night. Addison dials the number, seems a bit weird to speak to someone whom you haven't seen in years. The call never seemed uncomfortable I'm at all. Tatiana answers the phone, her voice low and soft, “Howdy caller, how may I make your day”, She comments. Tatiana Had a way with words. “Hi, it's Addison, And I know it's been some time, but I would love to catch up”, I reply. Addison paces the carpet, back and forth as she finishes her makeup, waiting on an answer.
The Past Sometimes becomes a part of our present.

The silence seemed awkward, but Tatiana breaks it. “Life seems to work its way through”, Tatiana Replied.
“Let's make it happen to embrace this interaction as it's meant to be”, She adds. Addison Knows the dreams she's maintained since her youth years are a sign of her anxiety about the House. Tatiana had always been there for support. The three were inseparable. Gloria was a discussion of a short topic. Stories of life seemed easy to chatter about. Tatiana was proud to have kept in touch with Gloria, all through the years, steadily. She always looked out for her, she cared deeply for her as Addison doesn't know it.

Even though Addison wasn't aware of it, She finds out the house had a secret or three to share. But it wouldn't be so easy without clues of the past. Tatiana teased Gloria in their youth but a teen relationship of feelings new had been kept between the two. Telling Addison How they're similar in many ways, Tatiana Tried to find a different topic.
Addison Speaks her goodbyes, as it seemed to be too long.
Addison is intrigued by how Tatiana looks after all these years. How many drinks can they drink in a blink, Addison thought. She stared into space.
