POISONED LOVE.
PART TWO.
"Love, just like a flower, blossoms when conditions suits it best, come a storm and it eventually withers.Being the Playboy I was,my wife got fed up with me and she chickened out claiming she was not going to spend all her life with a brute such as me.My parents tried all they could to tame her there but as stubborn as she was,she did not change her mind. She left me with two grown up kids and above all, shame.I became the talk and laughing stalk of the whole city."We all sighed to air out the sadness within us.Trully this old man has a tale to tell.
"After this humongous incident,I delved into alcohol and in a month,I became an expert drinker.Bar attendants would gladly welcome their visitor as they knew I was a spendthrift. My parents became furious with me, especially my father and I was disowned. This affected my poor mother so much that she could not eat for days.At last she passed away of stomach cancer and the news of her death reached me while in exile.I mourned for his death and even attempted murder, luckily my *dear allies saved me,lest they lose such an important person they depended on.I was hospitalized for days and while recuperating,I overheard that my children wanted to see their dad.As to who informed my friends I can't tell but my second love, who is now my wife, gave me the news.Indeed I also yearned to have them by my side but not in such a state and in that environment."By now most of us were trying our hardest to be awake to hear the rest of the story. The old man,on realizing how sleepy his grandsons were, drained the last drop of water in his glass."That was just a sip for you today.Tomorrow we will have a taste of what life really is like.Recall what I did say today dear ones, for you are our pillars now.Have a goodnight sleep."
