Magdalene was at ease of as she alone would be in charge of the games the whole afternoon as Fritz would fill in the last hour only .Miss Raji toonwas in high spirits and did n't complain about her aches and together they do conducted the training and practice and as forecsaud Fritz had come back .
The session ended smooothly with Magdalene relaxing in his presence and even joined Raji to have the tea break without making any fuss.Fritz was in his demeanour cheerful and the next few days went about in the sane fashion muchbto the relief of Magdalene.The morning if the big day dawned .

Magdalene and Rajji went on early to the Sports ground inspecting every little thing and setting the tables and chairs with the help of the H.S.S. students and the decorations were also in full swing . Colourful Paper streamers were put onnthe ground lights were pu up by the workers who came in checking Mike's and wire connections affirming it to be safe .The girls however were showing their artistic skills in Rangolis and kollams with flower and colour powder strewn exquisitely in their arts.

It was mid day the children went back home to adorn their sports uniform and the Teachers dressed in new Uniform saris looked trim and beautiful.The distinguished guest of honour -a learned Prinicipal from a leading University was invited to grace the occasion. Time was nearing 6 o'clock and the welcoming committee presented themselves with flowers and scented water sprinklers with the band playing thumping music and the activities began in full swing.The Welcome Speech given in an immaculate way by Mr Fritz and the opening song a bhajan sung beautifully bynthe choir specially trained by Miss Magdalene asked for an encore.and the Vote if thanks by Miss Raji .

The students performance was beyond the schools expectations and everyone looked at Fritz fir his contribution as P a.T. teacher.The March past ,the excercises done by the children nor 6 th to the 10 th standard with their properties like lesiums dumbels etc was classic to watch.The whole audience gave thundering applause .Onnthe afternoon at two o clock the Finals of various relay items, High jump, Long jump ,Javelin Throw,Tennicoid, kho - kho ,Throw ball ,Basket ball and Tennis were conducted .The list if the winners were in Misss Magdalene s hands she was the compere in the evening function .

The Sportts day ended in a grand manner with the chief guest expressing his thorough enjoyment of the performance of the entire school .He distributed the prizes to all the winners and the day ended on a subham note .The principal was delighted so announced a holiday on Monday amidst cheerings from all the day came to an end.
The next morning Magdalene had found her purse had been missing so she had come to school a
to check in the staff room lockers and to her great relief found the purse lying under some composition note books and she uttered loudly," Thank you God !"and an intriguing voice form the adjacent room said "Why may I ask this loud thanks ?' and it was none other than Fritz who stood the door smiling pleasantly but mischievously and Magdalene was so surprised that she felt her tongue was tied she just looked on in sheepish manner !?
The next minute he said something that threw her off guard and we shall see what stunned her in to silence in the next chapter.....
