MY RADIO AND I
(Singing)
"Listen to the radio oh
Listen to the radio..."
Do you know who did this song?
Don Williams?
Yeah!

Do you still listen to the radio like I do?
Probably it's 'old school' right?
Naaah!
I listen to the radio alot.
I love it and I am not 'old school'.
Yes! But I am a 'new school' who loves the 'old school'. 😁.

So, I have this radio that many people call 'Aboki radio'.(it is mostly used by men from the northern part of Nigeria).
It went bad and I decided to go get it fixed.

I had to put it in my bag in the evening in other not to forget it while going to work the following day.

After my day at the office, I stopped by at the radio mechanic's shop.
He saw it and decided to detect the fault.
I waited.
While he opened the whole thing and checked it, I asked him if it will work.
He gave me a positive response and I was relieved.

It will interest you to know that I spent almost an hour there and at last the radio mechanic said,
"This radio can't be fixed".
What?
After his reassuring words which made me spend time waiting?
Now he is telling me this?
I just sighed deeply.
I felt bad not just because he couldn't fix it but I was told that I can't get this particular radio model; as it is no longer available in the market.

Well,I guess nothing lasts forever but I really wish I could get this radio model 😄.

We all have something we cherish so much and loosing it hurts.

So tell me, what is that one thing(not someone) that you cherish so much?
