"Curious little one", Gable muttered under his breath and appeared in front of her. She looked lost, and weak. Willows was slowly draining her life away. But she didn't need to know that, and he didn't let that thought slip through to her mind.
Ryzo respectfully stood his ground and avoided any eye contact.
Why had the Kingmaker taken pity on a human? Ryzo thought. He had been summoned by the King at the Castle for an errand, but strangely he had not been asked for yet. He wondered if it had anything to do with her.
"What is it?",Gable asked her.
She stared at him. He tried not to get into her head. She didn't seem too agreeable with the transparency.
"Will i die without this?", she showed him her wrist."how long do i have?"
"You cannot die, my lady", she heard Ryzo say.
Ryzo disappeared the moment Gable took a step towards her.
"I'm starting to feel sleepy. I haven't eaten ever since i came here, but I'm not even hungry. It's absurd", she rambled."My gut tells me I need to continue to live normally, or at least pretend to"
"You have rightly surmised ", he nodded.
His reply startled her.
"But you don't need to", he continued."as long as you have me"
Her face changed color. Did he even hear himself? she thought, and tried not to think wayward.
"When you feel weak", he stood right in front of her and gently grabbed her hand."call for me."
The line around her wrist glowed, but she wondered why his hand didn't feel any cold. It was strange. He was a strange one.
"I'm not", he looked at her with the same icy gaze.
Was he reading her thoughts again? she wondered and pulled back her hand."Don't do that."
He wasn't fazed."Ryzo will take you to Od soon. Rest if you can"
"Od?", she was confused. "Ryzo? why? I thought I can't leave...without... without you"
"You will journey a years time with him through Od over to Fairiion. Wysteria is three spans away from there. He will bring you to me"
She stared at him."a year?!"
"A years time, little one", he replied."time will play with your head, but you won't realise it."
"Why can't I go with you?"
He stepped away from her and disappeared in the split of a second.
