I was in pain, and I am angry... So furious was my rage, that the dark fires inside me were corroding at my very being, and yet, I will not die. But I was terrified of losing control, of scorching the Earth, and killing thousands, perhaps millions, like so many before me! This was the "Madness" of dragons, and it is what I have had to live with.
Dragons are long-lived creatures to begin with, only falling at the hands of others, or by our own self-destruction, but somehow I've still managed to preserve over several eons. Most creatures my age have long since forgotten what they once were, but for my kind... we can never forget. For no matter what we do, the blind rage, with its furious madness will never disappear from our existence.
I have tried everything in all this time, to remain conscious and see this through. From witches talismans, to even storing the dark energy in bottles, but the flames cannot be contained... And eventually, it burns everything. Meanwhile, those same flames are eating away at me from the inside, causing me to go insane as I scream in agony under a mountain.
At first, I only came here to keep the flames at bay, as well as myself, who may attack anything that moves, but now it has become clear that I can no longer stop this. This cave has become my own self-imposed prison, and it shall remain so until I awaken once more. I do not know how long I will sleep, I merely ask that whomever reads the writing on this wall not disturb me in any fashion. Do not enter this cave, for while I am sleeping, my body will release its dark energy to be harmlessly absorbed by the Earth, and no living thing may remain so. Please, if you value your life- DO NOT ENTER THIS CAVE!
