Wish

It was a cloudy sky on the 21st of July when Luna and Daniel celebrated their fourth anniversary in a famous café in a narrowed Strella street in Makati. Daniel hopefully waited for Luna for an hour, luckily Luna arrived before the exact time they set for their anniversary. “Happy Anniversary Daniel!” Luna greeted his handsome and only love of her life. Daniel just stared and smiled at her directly without any replies while seating properly in the chair in front of Luna. “ I love celebrating our anniversary here with you. This place it really means a lot to me.” Luna said gracefully with a huge smile plastered on her face. “Actually, it’s our second time here, right?” she added, but Daniel just nodded in agreement to what she said. “ Alright, here’s a special sweet, delicious cake I made for you!” She happily set up the cake with the candle on the table. “Let’s have a wish first before we blow the candle together, okay?” she added in excitement. Daniel closed his eyes, deeply, wishing all the best for their relationship. “I wish to stay with you forever, “ Luna wished solemnly. “But you didn’t” Daniel whispered underneath his breath, slowly opening his eyes. Suddenly, as he looked at Luna, it disappears in just a flick of an eye, leaving him dumb founded without saying goodbye.
