I just can't believe that I heard that voice again....that scary voice that reminds me of the past. I don't want to hear it again. This school isn't safe at all and I'm not allowed to leave this school at this time. I hope I'm safe in this female toilet corridor....so, I just sat down on the ground as the entrance door to the female toilet corridor opened and I saw Susan walking into the corridor....she turned her face and saw me.
Then she walked closer to me and asked "Ngozi, ken told me about everything that just happened few minutes ago....and how you got scared out of a sudden and ran away. Ngozi, please, tell me, what's going on? What are you scared? What made you scared?".
I looked at her and said "i can't tell you".
She asked "wait, why can't you tell me? Aren't we friends? If you're scared of something...can't you tell me?".
I answered "no, I can't. Please, just leave me alone. I want to be alone".
She asked "why? What's going on?".
I said "please,, leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anybody".
She replied "but something is bothering you or is it because everybody here are rich? And you are uncomfortable with rich teens...please, is that the reason?".
I said "leave me alone".
She replied "please, Ngozi, please, help me understand you".
I asked "don't you understand English? I said leave me alone. If you claim to be my friend, then do what I've told you to do and leave me alone".
She said "okay, I'll leave you alone but if you need someone to talk to...just know that I'm here for you".
I replied "thank yoy for being so caring. Now, you can go. I want to...
