The magic of the sea
~Sadie's POV~
My crew and I are very skilled sailors. We've seen crocodiles, navy fleets, and king's armies after us. But flying sharks? That's new.
"Captain what do we do?" Pickles, my best friend and second in command asks me.
"Grab the cannons and aim good. This is going to be a bumpy ride." I tell them.
"Aye aye ma'am."

We've shot at least 10 sharks down but there's still at least 50. It seems hopeless until a giant whirlpool suddenly appears an they all go back in the water. I know that's no coincidence. I look around and find a person who had just landed on my ship.
"Well well well, if it isn't the best witch in the archipelago, Morgan," I say and we hug.
"Come on Cap. I'm not that good yet."
"You've been learning witchcraft for 5 years so I think you're doing a fantastic job. And we talked about this stop being so down on yourself all the time!"
"I know sorry I'm trying. It's hard but I'm getting better."
"I'm glad to hear that. So what brings you in the area besides the sharknado?"
"It's been a hot minute since I saw you and the crew so I wanted to visit. I haven't seen Sammy in months but I keep seeing hints from him." She informs me.
"I'm guessing he made the sharks?"
"Yep. That's how I found you."
"Odd for him to stay off radar so long. We'll keep our eyes out like always and let you know when we find him."
"Thanks."
"Morgan!" The entire crew runs toward her from below deck.
"Hey guys! It's been what 5 months?" She asks.
"That's 5 months too long," Jeremy one of my first crewmates says.
"Sorry I'll try to visit more often."

Out of the corner of my eye I see a shadow move quickly. Not even 2 seconds later I hear maniacal laughter. "Everyone be on guard. We don't know where he could be but watch each other's six." I command of the crew.
"Yes ma'am," they all say and nervously look around.
"Show yourself!" Pickles demands of Sammy.
"Fine." He appears in the middle of the deck with the same old dark mist. He blows a kiss towards all of us. Pickles, Morgan and I are the ones who held our breath and are still awake.

"It's been such a long time, hasn't it? I missed messing with you in person." He almost practically giggles.
"I don't want to hear it. Your reign of terror is over," I tell him.
"Oh? And why is that?" He asks.
"I've finally mastered enough magic to kick your ass." Morgan says then vaporizes him. He reassembled himself and Pickles charges at him with a spear. He deflects an turns it into a balloon that is actually a ball of fire. Morgan summons a rain cloud and puts the fire out. While she does that I charge towards Sammy with my sword in hand.
He looks at me, "go ahead, Cap stab me. Better yet, stab me in the back. Betray me just like you did on that day where you left me."
I stand still and look him in his eyes and say, "I didn't leave you we thought you were dead. In a way you are dead, the Sammy I knew would never have done something like this." I charge towards him with my blade and he deflects it with a staff he summoned. We duel for a little bit, until Morgan shouts "look out!" I jump out of the way and see a bright light go towards Sammy. It was lightning that Morgan summoned. Sammy darkened the lightning and threw it at me. Morgan jumped in front of me and summoned a magic shield to protect us both.
"Ha that trick never gets old," she says.
"You saved my life using that spell twice."
"Today isn't over yet."
"Would you two stop flirting and help me fight?" Pickles asks which makes Morgan and I cough and blush.

Morgan summons thick chains to hold Sammy still. "Pickles, Sadie you both have to hold these chains while I do my thing. Can you do it?" She asks us.
"Sure."
"No problem."
"Great."
I get the one on the left side of Sammy and Pickles gets the one on the right. Morgan walks up to Sammy and puts her thumb on his forehead in an odd way.

~Morgan's POV~
When I put my thumb on his forehead I can see into his mind. It's so dark in here. I decide to bring some light in by thinking of sunshine, my fun sailing days, my trainer Phoenix, and the crew. "Sammy?" I call out when I see a little boy curled up crying in a corner.
"Leave me alone! That's what everyone else does," says the little boy.
"I'm not going to leave you alone. Do you want to talk about it?"
"No! It's not like it matters. You're going to kill me ever way, aren't you?"
"No. Of course not. If I can end this peacefully, that's what I'm going to do. What do you want out of all this? Revenge? Money? What do you gain by attacking Sadie and the crew?"
"If I make the entire crew die Sadie had to know what being alone feels like. She'll know excactly how I felt then she'll have to make it right!"
"That won't work." I tell him and almost laugh.
"Why not? What's so funny about it?"
"You're still holding on to the past! I was here dreading the future and worrying about the present, but you are stuck on this day. The day where you faked your death because the battle was too intense and you got lost. Do you know that Morgan and the entire crew mourned you for months? They looked for you everyday for weeks when you first vanished."
"That's a lie! The warlocks told me they left me on purpose or that I'm too easy to forget."
"I can prove it to you. I've recently learned time travel spells the ghost of Christmas style." I tell him.
"What does that mean?"
"We can time travel without ffecting the past or future in any way."
"Oh that's cool. Then yeah I want to see it with my own eyes."
"OK grab my hand," I hold my hand out for him and he takes it.

I go back to the day of his disappearance when they realize he's missing. "Attention please!" Past Morgan shouts at her crew. "Nobody has heard word of Sammy we have to look for him. I can't rest until he is found. Let's check all the nearby islands." The crew scares around checking in and on the ship while some other people steer the ship towards the closest island.
"I need to see more," Sammy says so I decide to take him to his funeral.

Past Morgan looks like she's been crying for hours but she takes the stand. "Crew I regret to inform you that we have lost a great man. Sammy was a good friend, sailor, and above all else he was practically a brother to everyone here. I'd like to take a minute of silence to remember him." Everyone bows their heads and I can see most of the crew is or has cried. Sammy is crying so I hug him.
"That's all I needed to see. Thank you." He hugs me and I take us back to the present.

I'm out of his mind and we bothare almost crying. Morgan looks at me curiously with her thumb up, side ways or down. I give her a thumbs up. Sammy clears his throat, "Thank you so much, Morgan. I'm so sorry for all the damage I've caused, Captain. I understand if I can't be in the crew anymore, and I don't deserve forgiveness but I need to somehow let you know how sorry I am. I-"
"Sammy?" Morgan asks.
"Yes ma'am."
"Sammy?" Pickles asks.
"Yes."
"You're not trying to fight anymore?" Pickles asks.
"No. I did learn dark magic but it was fueled by my anger. Once I let go I've never felt happier."
"It's good to see you as yourself again," Morgan says with teary eyes.
"It's good to be myself again," Sammy says. He looks at the sleeping crew and snapss his finger. It wakes them up.
"Cap look out!" Jeremy shouts and charges toward Sammy.
"Woah woaah it's ok. He's not trying to kill us anymore," I stand in front of Sammy.
"Really?" Asks Jeremy.
"Yes," Sammy answers.
"Welcome back brother!" Jeremy says then gives him a hug. Everybody joins in so there's a giant group hug around Sammy.
Once we release Sadie walks toward me, "Can we talk in private?"
"Sure," I answer and lead her to the spot where we had our first actual conversation.
"Remember this? You couldn't sleep and I was on patrol."
I chuckle. "It was my first night on the ship. I was scared out of my mind. I left royalty then had to join pirates because my ship crashed."
"That's ok though. I got kicked out of royalty all because my stupid ex girlfriend. I love pirate life though. I'd never go back, even if I could."
"Same. I've had so much more fun out here than I ever had as a princess."
"Princess life is hard. But enough about our past, that's not what I want to talk about." She clears her throat.
"What did you want to talk about?"
"Morgan, I have liked you ever since that night years ago. Whenever I see you the world gets warmer and the walls move closer."
"Really? Not to brag but I've had a crush on you ever since I thought you were going to kill me when I woke up on your ship for the first time."
She chuckles, "Wow you just had to one up me."
"I like competition sometimes, what can I say."
"So what do you want with this knowledge?"
"I want to see where this goes, what about you, Sadie?"
"Yeah me too. Morgan, do you want to go out somewhere sometime?"
"I would love to!" We hold hands and watch the crew socializing with Sammy and try to make the other laugh. I'm excited to see where this takes us.

A/N I also wrote a prologue for this so let me know if you want to read that and if it would help make this make more sense
