THE STRAIT GATE
TEXT: Matt 7:13-14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth
to destruction. and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
KEY VERSE: Luke13:23-24 "Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them
*Strive to enter in at the strait gațe:* for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Jeremiah 6:16 "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way,
and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Matt.11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence,
and the violent take it by force.
1 Peter 4: 17-18 “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at
us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved,
where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Matt.7:21-23 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will
profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
Jude 1:3 "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write
unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."
"Many are called, but few are chosen"Matt.22:14.
God loves you that is why He wants you to follow the narrow way because all that violates God's word whether
religious sinners or pagan sinners are all on the wide and broad way where the multitudes tread in self-will and
self-gratification.
It is wide because those in it do not recognize restraint, they do whatever they like. It is broad
because it is an easy road to the flesh-it does not require repentance, restitution, or restraint.
It is easy because it
is all downhill; it is a crowded road all are admitted by birth.
It is a deceptive road as many do not know the end
of it. Unfortunately it is a fatal road, it leads to eternal destruction.
Pleasant as it may seem to the flesh and
popular as it may seem to the masses, it ends in unalterable doom.
The wide and broad way is the way of self-indulgence, where people dress as they please in the fashions of the
world which our Lord Jesus Christ has condemned.
The crowd on the broad way made artificial fashion very
popular and famous, they disfigured or mutilated the image and temple of God to suit themselves in their canal
desires for beauty.
They replaced the eyelash, eyebrow and finger nails with artificial, changed the color of their
skins with bleaching creams, alter the texture of the hairs with perming, Jerry curling, weave-on and
nail attachment.
They live in the pleasure of their celebrated fashion that have made even the today's so called
Christians to be deceived into joining them, because of the multitude flocking the broadway of these artihcial fashions.
Pleasant as it may seem, their spiritual leaders who are already on the broadway tell them "it does not
matter" and they believed them, please themselves and displeased God.
On the other hand the way to heaven is
strait, narrow way; the way of repentance, salvation, sanctification, restitution, the way of the cross, self-denial
and the way of holiness and obedience to the word of God, only the few faithful that separates and denies
themselves of the pleasures of the world are in it.
