Promise

The car sped through the dark night, its headlights flashing, warning the incoming traffic. The driver seemed to be in hurry and didn't seem to care about the pedestrians who were returning home. Some pedestrians looked at the running vehicle and barely jumped out of the way. They looked at the passing car and some even cursed at the driver for not caring as if the horns blaring wasn't enough.
The car finally stopped in front of a house. There were no lights out and everything seemed to be engulfed in darkness. But the driver got out and ran fast so as not to lose any time. The face was that of a girl whose expression didn't match with the beauty she had. But she ran and opened the door as fast as she could and shouted," Hey, I am here. Where are you?"
The rustling noise proved that she wasn't alone. She quickly looked towards the noise and slowly started walking towards it. Without the lights,it was hard to walk but she managed somehow and finally grasped the silhouette lurking behind the curtain(she later knew).
First,the shadow struggled and made some scary noises so as to scare her but at last gave up and gave a small "meow" and started to purr until it finally settled down in her arms.
"I missed you too,my little Panther."She softly whispered to the blind cat sleeping happily away in her arms.
"I will always come back."She promised.
And she always kept her promise.
