One thing you should know about the human mind is that it's like a remote control TV set. You can tune your mind to whatever “station” you want it to show you and that's what you'd see.
The scenarios that play in your mind are enough to discourage you most at times from the things you know. It's like telling yourself, you want to do something and you don't. “I want to go out", “I should go for a drive" or “I should go see Bary, it's been a while" and just then, something else pops up, telling you NOT to do those things. That “something else" is the other side of your mind. Making you lose your thoughts to the negative side and all the others follow up. Depression, Loneliness, Malice, talking about all the things that could weigh you down, just because of how you tune your mind.
Your mind is like a sponge. It takes in what you listen to, read, see, think about, and processes it, to what you’d know. If you think of positivity, positive things would happen to you. And if you think of negativity, those intrusive negative thoughts would affect you, as you listen, see, think about those things. It's not a matter of how you think about them, but why you think about them.
Why do you think about the things you do? Why does anyone think about the things they do? Why do you have intrusive thoughts and think only negative and not positive things? How can you stop thinking negatively about something? Why is it important to think only of positivity?
