AND SHE DISAPPEARED

I was sitting in a class silently; there was no one around me; it was empty, but I could still hear some chaos, and it was annoying me. After a few minutes, I realized my thoughts were speaking; memories were rushing here and there, and it was reminding me of something. I tried my best to recognize it but was still unsuccessful; I gave up on it, so I tried to fall asleep, and while doing that, a face came into my eyes, and guess what?! Who was it? Yeah! It was you!!

I still remember that Friday night; it was around 11:36 p.m. I was scrolling reels, and suddenly a message came saying, Hi! At first, I was shocked because getting a hello from a girl wasn't normal for me, and I thought it might be a scam because who wants to text a guy like me at this late hour? In the war of self-doubt, I made up my mind and replied, Hey!! We texted for an hour, and finally I said GOODNIGHT!! Because of the late night, I woke up a little late, and just like everyone else, I don't have any good habits to do after waking up, so I always check my phone first, and when I opened it, I saw a message of "GOOD MORNING." At this point, I started to convince myself that it was a scam. Many days have passed!! My morning begins with her good morning text and ends with her goodnight text.

The one to whom I thought she was a scam is now telling me about her days and her life. She used to send me images of what she was doing, where she was, and what she was eating. The text, which used to make me feel awkward, is now making me smile while seeing it. Texting her was a part of my day; the day turned into a week, the week turned into a month, the month turned into 8 months, and finally that day came. She didn't text me, nor did she say good morning or goodnight.

It's been 7 days since she didn't text me, so I texted her, "Hey," but got no response. Her texting became a habit, and getting no text from her was making me uneasy. It seems like my world is upside-down. I thought of various reasons why she didn't text or what made her stop texting me. Now that it's been many months, she hasn't texted. She was just like a storm that came, destroyed everything, and went. Sometimes people don't come to stay in your life; they just come and go. Sometimes I still think of her, but not anymore. The bell rang, and it was time to go home.
