Melina's P.O.V. (Point Of View)
I rolled over my head was pounding. I didn't see Layla. I guess she creeped out when I was sleep. I looked at my alarm clock. I have 30 minutes to get to work. I jumped in the shower, brushed my teeth, and threw my hair in a messy bun. My stomach was in a frenzy. I slipped on my black silk dress. with a pair of blue slides.
"Good morning baby I made toast." My grandmother greeted me in the kitchen, with a warm kiss on the cheek .
"I'm just going to grab a water and head out. Please take your meds." I reminded her, returning the pec on the cheek.
I wasn't looking forward to going to work. My boss was on me about a 3 page report, that I haven't started. It's due by 3pm today.
"Good morning Melina. I know you are going to have my report turned in on time." My boss Cern smirked, gently squeezing my shoulder.
I grinned, "Yes sir, I mean Cern." he hated when I called him sir.
I just wanted to fall over and cry. Of course I couldn't, because work had to be done. I really hate that I have to deal with Carl. I broke up with him 6 months ago, because of the abuse. He agreed to breaking up under one circumstance, I can't talk to anyone else.
I did though. I slept with my boss Cern one time. There was a company party and of course I let Layla talk me into drinking her parents vodka will her before we headed to the party. I was drunk and so was Cern. Layla had creeped off with her now ex boyfriend Bryant. Cern asked did I want to catch an Uber with him and he'll have me dropped off at home. I didn't want him to see where I lived, so I insisted he take me to his place. I was won over by the mansion. Even though he was intoxicated he treated me so gently.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Layla stumbling in late. "Hey Lay.."
I started, but stopped. I noticed hickeys planted all over her neck. I laughed and looked over at Bryant "ooooh I see you all made up again."
"WHAT! TWO DAYS BROKEN UP AND YOU HAVE HICKEYS! I KNEW IT, I KNEW YOU WERE A WHORE!" Bryant shouted before storming out the office.
