Holy Sandra chapter four
She was fighting for her life. It has been two month and a lot of things had happened. Sandra has not woken up.

Her grandmother had come immediately after hearing the devastating news from an unknown stranger.

She remembered seeing the message and missed calls from an unknown number.

"Hello madam. Your granddaughter and son was involved in a ghastly motor accident. Your son is dead but your granddaughter is still fighting for her life. Please come to the hospital. Anderson private hospital. See you soon." With that she didn't think twice, she called her husband to inform about the situation. She also informed him that she was going to be travelling immediately.

After hearing this, the old man almost fainted. He couldn't believe his son was dead and his granddaughter fighting to survive. He kept hoping she would survive. First, his daughter in-law, Rhoda. That wonderful white woman. Whom his son married and later left for that stupid and disrespectful yoruba woman.

Now she was dead. He couldn't believe it. He ran to church to pray to God to save his granddaughter's life.

Now, the old woman has been here for the past two month and Sandra was yet to open her eyes. She started crying. She doesn't deserve this, the old woman thought.

Someone came in and greeted her while she secretly wiped her tears.

"Hello ma'am." She nodded her head in response.

"I'm the stranger who called you. I travelled for a business trip so I couldn't come to greet you properly." The old woman smiled thankfully before asking.

"How did you get my number? I mean, not to be unappreciative. I am only curious that's all." The stranger smiled at her before answering.

"Your son gave it to me. I was there when the truck hit your son's SUV. We are still investigating. I will get to the buttom of this madam." He exhaled sharply before continuing.

"I ran to him to help him but he kept insisting that I should save his daughter. I saved them both but before I reached the hospital, he died. But before he died he gave me his phone to call you. He told me what he used to save the number. Immediately, I called you with my number but you weren't picking. That was when I sent you a message." He finished and looked at the woman.

"You need to be strong for her. She needs your strength ma'am. When she finds out her dad is dead, she would be devasted. Even worse, she can't walk. I will always be hear for you if you need anything." The old woman nodded sadly with tears.

The stranger wiped her tears with his white handkerchief and smiled at her sadly. He knew how it felt to lose a loved one especially someone very dear to you.

He remembered when his brother died, it was devastating. He was only six. His mother had an heart attack that caused her life later that year. He only had his father. Who loves him so much and could do anything for him.

"What is your name my son and how old are you? What do you do for a living? I even heard you paid the hospital bills." The old woman asked curiously.

"My name is Ryan Anderson. I'm twenty six ma'am. I'm the owner of this hospital and an owner to the Anderson and Sons Petroleum Company here in California. I couldn't let her die. So I had to pay." She just nodded.

"Thank you my son."

"After she recovers by God's grace.. I know a specialist that will check her joint and bones to see if there is still hope for her." The old woman started crying in appreciation and then she hugged him tightly.

"Thank you my son. It feels like God has giving me a new son. Thank you. My Sandra will walk again. I remembered when she was a baby, she smiled at me when I first carried her. We bonded quickly. That's how we became best friends. Now, look at her fighting for her life with all this things attached to her" she explained in sorrow and that was when a song came to her mind.

"He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. Gladly, he bore our sorrows and by his stripes we are healed." She just kept singing and she felt this peace. The peace of God.

"Grandma, is that you?" Sandra's voice rang out and time stopped.

"My baby. Sandra, you are awake. Oh thank God. Ryan, please get the doctor" she said hugging her grand daughter. She was so happy to hear her granddaughter's voice again.

"Grandma, where am I?" Sandra asked still wondering why everything was dark.

The doctor rushed in immediately. To see that she was awake but he noticed something in her movement. Something he was afraid might happen.

"Grandma, did you switch off the light? Why is it so dark in here?" Sandra asked.

"What is going on doctor? Tell me, what is she saying?" The old woman asked not wanting to believe what she was thinking it was.

"Grandma, please can you switch on the light? It's too dark in here. I want to see your face grandma. Please, someone should switch on the light."

Ryan couldn't take it. First, her father was dead and she can't walk and now, this.

"I'm sorry Sandra, you can't see-----"
