A Friend from Calcutta
" I was helped"

Jen Lee was a young traveler from China, on a solo trip to explore the rich culture of India. She landed in the bustling city of Calcutta, also known as Kolkata, famous for its colonial architecture, cultural festivals, and delectable cuisine.

As Jen Lee walked around the city, she was in awe of the vibrant markets, the Howrah Bridge over the Hooghly River, and the Victoria Memorial.

While exploring the city, she met a handsome Indian guy named Raj who was happy to show her around and teach her about the city's culture and history.

Raj took Jen Lee to the famous Kalighat Temple , and the Indian Museum, which had a vast collection of historical artifacts. He then took her to the Park Street area, where they enjoyed delicious Bengali cuisine, including luchi, aloo dum, and rasgulla.

One day, while Jen Lee was out exploring a local market, she lost her way and found herself in a dodgy area of the city. She was scared and didn't know how to get back to her hotel.

Suddenly, Raj appeared out of nowhere and rescued her. He then , calmed her with his kindness they sat for a moment and he then also introduced her to the mouth-watering delicacies of the city's street food scene.

Jen Lee and Raj spent a few more days together, exploring the city's hidden gems, like the Marble Palace. As their time together came to an end, they exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch.

Raj mentioned that he grew up in a home with the customs of always helping everyone in need.

As Jen Lee boarded her flight back to China, she smiled as she remembered the moments spent with Raj, the handsome Indian guy who had shown her the best of Calcutta.

She also made a mental note to try some of the Bengali cuisine recipes she had learned from Raj, and to plan another trip to India soon.

"The 5 Year passing"

Five years had passed since Jen Lee's trip to Calcutta, and she had often thought of Raj and their memorable time together. She had even tried to search for him online, but with no luck.

One day, Jen Lee was walking down a street corner in her hometown in China when she heard a familiar voice call out to her. It was Raj! She couldn't believe her eyes, and they both hugged each other tightly, both surprised and happy to see each other again.

They spent the day catching up, reminiscing about their time in Calcutta and filling each other in on what had happened in their lives over the past five years. Jen Lee was thrilled to hear that Raj had started his own travel company, taking tourists around India to explore its hidden gems.

Raj had been travelling to China on business, and it was purely by chance that he had spotted Jen Lee walking down the street. They spent the rest of his time in China exploring the local culture, sharing delicious food and making new memories together.

Jen Lee was grateful for the unexpected reunion with Raj and couldn't help but wonder if it was fate that brought them back together.

As Raj prepared to return to India, they exchanged numbers again, promising to keep in touch and hoping to meet each other soon.

From that day on, Jen Lee kept the memories of Raj and their time in Calcutta close to her heart, and every time she walked down that street corner in her hometown, she couldn't help but smile, remembering the wonderful coincidence that reunited her with her old friend.

Moral of this story, friends can be found all around the world. We should not be divided in friendship by , race , culture , religion or ones wealth status , or whether you are rich or poor , we can never put a price on lasting friendships that heals one's heart and memories...
