Chapter 6: The Delve
As the dawn painted the sky in hues of gold and crimson, the city awoke to a horrifying spectacle. Atop the tallest clock tower, a grotesque pile of human remains lay scattered. It was the remnants of the Insomniac, the vigilante who had fallen victim to the syndicate's wrath.
But as the sun rose higher, a strange and inexplicable phenomenon occurred. A faint glow began to emanate from the pile of remains. The severed limbs and torso seemed to twitch and writhe, as if possessed by an unseen force.
Slowly, the pieces began to coalesce, drawn together by an invisible thread. The severed limbs reattached themselves to the torso, the head rejoined the body. Stitches appeared, binding the flesh together, creating a grotesque patchwork of human flesh.
