Miss Right Part 2
The next night of work left a lot of tension in the air. Del ended up in Kari's section and had noticed she was a bit off.

"Darlin, why you so down in the dumps tonight? I come in here every evening just to see that pretty smile and it hasn't touched your eyes at all."

She genuinely smiled back at him.

"I'm sorry, Del. I just thought things would be different. I left home to find my dream. I wanted to make music. Now, thanks to Tony, I'm just gonna end up a stripper."

"Say what?" Del was surprised by her statement. He loved the old Crow and had come here since it's opening. Kari explained the whole story. The contracts. The gentlemen's club. Everything. Del took it in as he lit a cigar.

"That ain't right. You shine just fine with your clothes on. I can't say I wanna watch this mess. But you know Del is always gonna support you girl. You get out of this contract, we'll find a new place. You can keep bringing me drinks and I can keep admiring that pretty smile."

"Del, you're the best person in this city, you know that right?"

"Whoa now," he feigned resentment,"Don't you dare go and sully my ungentlemanly reputation."

At that he winked at her. She patted his shoulder and carried on with her night.

Finally, the night came. Three of the girls had tried to reason with the bosses. Three girls hadn't been seen since. Kari was scared. She knew she didn't have a choice. She knew what she was going to do but she didn't want to die.

Opening night was a limited audience and not open to the public. Most of the girls were all backstage in near panic. Tiffany was ready to go. The place was packed with goons of all shapes and importance. Kari only knew Tony, but she could assume that the large man beside him was Simple Demetrius. He looked like someone that rarely heard the word no.

The announcer took over the microphone and introduced Tiffany. She was scantily clad already and the cat calls just fed her ego. She danced, slowly taking off her lacy clothing. By the end, she was completely naked. She was on her knees, touching herself, and loving it.

Suddenly, the music stopped. Demetrius whispered something to Tony, and Tony had Pop Tart fetch Tiffany. As Tiffany walked up, still thrilled by her performance, she stopped in front of the two bosses. Demetrius looked her up and down.

"Easy on the eyes. Young. Not used up at all. Girl you are fit. Any other day and I'd be putting you to work in my place, The Home Team."

Tiffany beamed, "Thank you, sir."

"There's just one small issue."

Everyone froze.

"You showed us everything. I mean don't get me wrong, that's a nice slit you got, but my girls usually leave something to the imagination. You just flash your goods at everyone. Masturbating no less. If I wanted to see that you'd be in my room. Pop Tart! Take her to Enzo. He will fix her right up "

Horror was on Tiffany's face. She didn't have any clue what that meant, but it was too late to get away. She knew that. Off they went as the next performer was introduced. It was Wanda!!!

She had gone home to talk to her husband about the change of venue. It would appear that the black eye she sported had been his answer. Men always seemed to get the final say about a woman's body.

As Wanda began, Demetrius stopped the show.

"Lady. What has happened to your eye. I did not give anyone permission to damage my people."

"Well sir, my husband told me if I was going to have to strip for strange men he needed to make sure none would want me."

There was acid on her tongue, but he hadn't noticed.

"Bring me the man who would do this to his woman! She is no longer his. She will be under my protection and work in the kitchen. I apologize for this madam. You need not worry about him anymore."

Wanda was shocked. This was too much to process. She wanted to be angry about being given away like property, but Gus deserved to get what he gave. She'd always wanted to leave but he was all she'd ever known. Wanda was led off the stage. Where did the girls go that were taken away?

Kari heard her name. It was her turn. She didn't want to do this but she dare not refuse flat out. Her plan had to work.
