The picture in the frame held a lot of memories. Some good, some sad. Her tired eyes roamed over it one last time before she tossed it in the fire. It was time to start afresh. This time, She won't look back. She had faced a lot and she couldn't take anymore pain. She turned and found the old man looking straight at her with anxious eyes.
He came near and put his hand on her shoulder, " Rose, your life has given you another chance. Don't misuse it."
She smiled, " I know that, Dad. This time, I'll be stronger than before."
He shocked and went out of the room, leaving her alone. Rose went near the mirror and looked at her image. The scar on her forehead was still there. She closed her eyes, breathed out deeply.
