The two girls jumped over the hopscotch they had drawn on the curb with white chalk. It was their favourite game and they would be at it for hours. They would go home afterwards, as always they would hear their mothers call for supper.
Those two girls remained lifelong friend. They were always there for each other through their lives. Even as old girls sitting on the porch they would sit talking. It was one night late when everyone was inside the house they talked about what life was like when they were little.
