Romantic Ventures : 2. The beach
Going for a walk on the beach with her... It's on a warm yet windy day. The wind brushes against her pushing her into my arms. She makes no attempt to resist. I'm content with it and she knows that too. The sand is relentless on making a safe heaven on my feet but I try not to mind. She stops walking and so do I– not much of a choice I have since I'm half hugging her. I look into those beautiful light brown eyes which I fell in love with. She looks away blushing but I'm too bewildered to just let her. I pull her in close and now I'm hugging her fully. She feels warm..contrast to the cold wind now piercing through my clothes as I've stopped moving. Now she can't look away just as much as I have no words to say. I find myself saying to her "Well aren't you just the most beautiful thing on earth?" Shyly, she plants herself deeper into my arms then again withdraws herself. She hangs her hands on my shoulders and I immediately feel my heart working double time. Now she's looking back into my eyes and suddenly I'm the shy one. She feels my heart beating at speeds doctors wouldn't advise. She's got my brain in overdrive and she knows that. She reaches in and swiftly steals a kiss– just a small peck on the lips. She detaches herself from me and then starts running mockingly. It's as if she knows I want more than just a peck. Everything inside me screams "After her!!" I immediately begin pursuit. She's way faster and more agile than your average girl. Well, I'm a national Bronze medalist myself so it's not that big a challenge. After being evaded a too man– a few times, I finally catch her. At this point we're both out of breath. It doesn't take too much to knock us off our feet and the wind proves that with great ease. Down I go! Shortly afterwards the lady follows. Not sure if it's luck or what but she conveniently lands ontop of me. The impact I feel as she lands on me is drowned by the ecstasy I feel when I realize she's actually in my arms. I think to myself "Isn't this quite the romantic pose?" She tries to get back up but I pull her in even closer. After a lon– a brief while, she settles down. "Babe?" ,she asks. I promptly reply, "Yes, love?" She continues, "There're actually other people on the beach- did you know?". "No, hunny," I reply "you're the only person I see here". She blushes and just relaxes into my chest. "But babe.."..I finally steal back that kiss. The wind stops for a moment. The sea calms down and for a short while we're the only two people in the world. I think to myself, "I'm glad she's mine"....
