Those who go higher in life are not the ones who relentlessly seek for the downfall of others out of jealousy or envy. They are those who genuinely challenge and help others grow and become more.

No act of kindness is ever a waste. The people you help today may not pay you back again. They may not even show genuine appreciation. Some may not even return the help at all. But never forget how you made them feel that very day you helped them will continue to linger in their memory years to come.

Whether they respond or not, remember that you chose to help them not because you were forced to do so but because that is who you are and what you live for.
